FEDORA12 ATI VIDEO DRIVER
The 3D effects fedora12 ati video should open, and you should be able to choose basic 3D options. That should get you running, browse the web for more compiz tweeks, and enjoy your 3D desktop! Just a personal preference.
I happen to like the options that fusion icon provides. DJ KZ yum erase mesa-dri-drivers-experimental anyway, they seem to work pretty good on my integrated HD only thing is my X starts to eat a lot of cpu cycles after fedora12 ati video while but not sure if i can blame that on these drivers. What happens when you try the mesa drivers?
Do you have any GUI with the base Xorg install? When installing the fedora12 ati video package, upon rebooting we were able to immediately enable Compiz support without any problems.
Demz Guest. The game had started up just fine and was running reasonably well, but there were plenty of visual defects and rendering problems. Included in the lot were:. Maybe you can try removing the package to test: yum erase mesa-dri-drivers-experimental Or try reinstalling: yum reinstall mesa-dri-drivers-experimental. Are you on bit or bit-PAE kernel? ATI drivers 9. The fedora12 ati video drivers work pretty good though.

I still get the message Software Rasterizer in use compiz-check. I have no xorg.
But, the experimental drivers do function. I am thinking about leaving the experimental mesa drivers there and forgetting about ATI for now.
Radeon fedora12 ati video some features not available in radeonhd and vice versa, but generally they are starting to be quite close while radeon supports all the cards and radeonhd only r5xx-r7xx. I believe that the radeon driver now has the same or better support as radeonhd. I wonder what Fedora has done to fix those issues Can they really have that many other critical X bugs that they haven't been able to look at it in a month" this time around: 1. This cuts both ways, it won't be useful for much IMO The python maintainer is doing it full time, so if the world blows up he might have the time to fix everything.

That's odd, seeing fedora12 ati video how Mandriva had python 2. I'm not aware of it ever having blown up the world in all that time. Upgrading vs. Fresh Install I don't really recommend upgrading fedora12 ati video anyone On servers where the package count is fairly low and the possibility of third-party addon packages is low, upgrading has been painless for me for the last 5 or 6 releases I've been doing them.
On desktops where there is a large number of packages as well as a greater potential for third-party packages to be installed think RPM Fusion for certain verboten media codecs and apps I don't upgrade. But Scott, aren't you crazy to do a fresh install rather fedora12 ati video upgrade? Umm, no.
Org X11 ati video driver. What's wrong. Also open a single bug for each different issue.
Fedora 12 released
I simply don't understand what's wrong for you. Attach full dmesg and full Xorg log don't paste, attach them. Try booting with radeon. Just starting out and have a question? If it is not in the man pages or the how-to's this is fedora12 ati video place!
News : ATI Catalyst Graphics Drivers Released Tech Stuff
Why make this post? I've seen similar problems with the X on multiple sites with ubuntu and fedora.Looks like AMD was waiting for Fedora Constantine release. AMD fedora12 ati video released the next version of ATI Catalyst Display Drivers. I guess ATI graphics card owners are a bit unlucky! Fedora 12 introduces experimental 3D support for AMD Radeon HD and later.
